Hi all, please excuse me writing in English. I can speak Spanish and can read some but I dare not try to write it yet.
I just wanted to say that Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) has helped me a lot. It's pretty new and kind of an evolution of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). But where CBT asks us to change negative thoughts and feelings into positive ones, ACT says just notice them and accept them as just thoughts and feelings. ACT is based on our own values, mindfulness and something called Relational Frame Theory (RFT). There's a cool free RFT tutorial at the link in my signature.
I've had Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) all my life it seems. I've tried medicines and CBT, but nothing really helped until I found ACT.
Again I'm sorry about the English. Hopefully some of you can understand this and maybe someone very nice can translate some of it. Thanks and best of luck to everyone.
